The project ”Social Enterprises in Sparsely Populated Areas – SOCENT SPAs” held its third interregional site visit in Lapland from the 23rd to the 24th of May 2017. Project partners from Spain, Slovakia, Germany and Finland participated in the visit, which aimed at familiarizing the participants with the situation of social entrepreneurship in Lapland. Over the course of the two days, participants visited Lapin Kuntoutus in Rovaniemi as well as the Local Action Group Pohjoisin Lappi, Cooperative Sompion Tähti and the central kitchens in Sodankylä.
The next visit, in which participants will become acquainted with the situation of social entrepreneurship in Brandenburg, Germany will take place on the 8th and 9th of June.
Previous visits to Gemer, Slovakia and Soria, Spain took place in April and May of 2017.
